Breakfast with he who shall not be named'
To the editor: I’m so sorry that the anonymous parent of Sanfordville finds including Santa Claus at a Christmas season fundraiser “detestable discrimination.” It speaks volumes that this woman wouldn’t give her name to you when she started this ridiculous mess. I don’t think she fully believes in her stand. It’s passive/aggressives like her that have caused me to have to remove my daughter’s picture from view at my work place because it may offend those who don’t have kids. I find it detestable that anonymous and her followers crawl behind the “law of our country” to spread their illogical fears. If this is the law of our country, it’s time to change the law. I find it detestable that Dr. Greenhall made this a matter of money and found it proper to threaten the PTA. I find it detestable that lawyers have to threaten the PTA with litigation over Santa. It may be too late this year but next year the PTA should take this festival out of the school and have it somewhere else so they can do it right. I would be happy to help with finding the location. In the meantime you can bet I’ll be at “Breakfast with he who shall not be named,” wearing a fuzzy red and white hat wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, even Jews, Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists. And if I get a “Happy Hanukkah” in return, I’ll smile and say, “Same to you.” Not afraid to be identified, Stephen Katz Pine Island
