Bipartisan support for Sweeton

To the editor, We recently attended a fund-raising event for Warwick Town Supervisor Michael Sweeton. Based on the number of Democrats in attendance, we were pleased to see that he has a great deal of bi-partisan support. This is not surprising considering the great job he has done representing the best interest of all of the people of Warwick. Mike Sweeton is a good listener and doesn’t hesitate to implement programs or policy that is in the interest of all of the people of our town. Stronger zoning requirements were requested and as a result a new Zoning Code was passed. It preserved more than 1,800 acres at no cost to the taxpayer and acquired development rights on 2,300 acres of active farms protecting our agricultural base and the open land which can never be built upon. When his constituents asked for expanded recreation opportunities, Mike Sweeton delivered. Warwick built new facilities at the Union Corners Road Park, worked with the villages to invest in parks and purchased an old run-down marina in Greenwood Lake which is today the beautiful Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park. Vote to re-elect Mike Sweeton, the people’s supervisor, a supervisor who does the right thing and doesn’t play politics. Edward and Linda Dubin Florida
