Bartnowski states his case for Warwick Village Board

To the editor: My name is David Bartnowski and I am running for the Board of Trustees in the Village of Warwick. I have lived in the Town of Warwick since 1972 and in the Village since 1990. I am a new home builder, and general contractor, doing about 95 percent of my work in Warwick. My wife, Carol, is the owner of the Inkwell Office Supply on Main Street. I am proud of our village as it represents a quality of life that such a community can offer. I have always admired the efforts put forth by the many individuals, groups and organizations that have continually worked so hard to make the village what it is. Over the years, I have offered my help to many projects in our community. I worked along with other volunteers to build the playground at the Community Center. I was part of the original group that laid the foundation that helped Apple Fest to become the successful event that it is. I was on the Master Plan Review Committee for the Town of Warwick prior to the complete revamping of the Zoning Ordinances. I worked with the Village Board and the Village Planning Board to review and update the sign ordinances so they were more appropriate for the changes that had occurred in the Village over the years. Also, through Team Inkwell, we brought volunteers and participants to many of the wonderful events that are sponsored by so many of the hard working, not-for-profit organizations, such as the Cancer Society Relay for Life, the Warwick Marathon, the numerous Bicycle Tours, the Lion’s Club 5K run and others. I will approach the task of being on the Board of Trustees with the same professionalism as I have in my building of fine homes. With my knowledge of infrastructure, budgeting and cost controls and the awareness of our community, I will be an asset to the board. I will bring with me the passion and the energy needed to represent the residents of the Village of Warwick for the next four years. There will be many issues that will need to be addressed by the board in the coming years and I have the ability and the desire to work with the other board members to do what is best for the Village. I am asking for your support and your vote on March 18. David Bartnowski Warwick
