Barlet is the right person'
To the editor: Please vote for Peter Barlet on Nov. 8 for town justice. I not only am acquainted with Peter as my attorney for many years but also as a support system in his help in educating me on the various implications of trying to get the PINS (persons in need of supervision) Law changed from 16 to 18 years of age. Peter not only advised me on this issue, but he also advocated and supported our goal to address the concerns of the children and families in New York State. As a courtesy he welcomed phone calls of parents in crisis with an unruly child, and directed them to the best of his ability. He took time from his busy schedule and accompanied us to Albany to influence legislators to do what was right for their constituents, by raising the age to 18. I was proud to share the day the governor signed this bill into Law with Peter Barlet amongst the other dedicated advocates by my side. Peter Barlet puts the “Honorable” in the title of “Town Justice.” He has successfully served Warwick as town justice for many years and he is the right person to continue to advocate what is right by keeping this title.
