American flags wanted

To the editor: Do you have any American flags that are frayed and worn? The Flag Code specifies that they should be disposed of in a “dignified” manner. Each year on Flag Day, June 14, American Legion Post 377 and Boy Scout Troop 62 conducts the ceremony to retire these flags in the prescribed way. If you have a flag that needs to be disposed of, please drop it in the flag box in the front of the American Legion V.F.W.
