A true patriot

To the Editor: As the casket bearing Sgt. Jon Cadavero entered Goshen Veterans Cemetery, veterans of all ages, all wars, stood at attention. A shadow or memory of a comrade who gave the ultimate sacrifice in their thoughts. Men who have been close to death are close to one another. Always remembered, never forgotten! Abe Lincoln said: “God must have loved the common man, he made so many of them, but it is uncommon men and women who, when nations get in danger, as they invariably do, must come to the fore and lead.” Freedom is not free.
