Courtney Mifsud, an eighth grader at Warwick Valley Middle School, earned second place honors at the regional National History Day competition in the category of individual display, junior division. This year’s theme was “Taking a Stand in History.” Courtney’s exhibit featured the subject, “Roe v. Wade, The Decision that Divided America.” All students in Mr. Rauschenbach’s honors social studies class participated in the event. Courtney will now go on to represent the Warwick Valley Middle School in the National History Day State competition in Cooperstown in May. (Photo provided by Charlotte Mifsud)
