WVT Communications donates $2,000 to Jubilate Youth Choir

WARWICK On Tuesday evening, March 25, Duane Albro, president and CEO of WVT Communications, formerly known as the Warwick Valley Telephone Company, presented his company’s check for $2,000 to Father Scott Barker, pastor of Christ Episcopal Church in Warwick. The donation was in support of Jubilate, a co-ed treble choir of children and youth in grades five through twelve. The choir is formed through annual auditions, and rehearses weekly at Christ Episcopal Church throughout the academic year. Weekly music rehearsals are supplemented with education in music theory and history. According to the Church’s literature, the repertoire emphasizes traditional Church music, including service music, chants and anthems, both ancient and modern, and is enriched by modern sacred and secular music at the discretion of the director. After listening to the choir that evening, Albro praised the singers and pledged his company’s continuing support in years to come. “Jubilate represents some tremendous values including a commitment to our youth, a commitment to our community and a commitment to our culture,” said Albro. “WVT Communications shares those values and is pleased to have the opportunity to support such a worthy group. I am also pleased and proud to announce that the Jubilate choir will be featured in upcoming local WVT channel 12 broadcasts. “ For additional information about Jubiliate, visit: www.JubilateWarwick.com.
