Goshen An all-day writing workshop for preteen and teen girls will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at the new Art & Soul Studio at 119 West Main St. in Goshen. “Surviving Junior High,” a writing class for girls only, will focus on developing creativity and self esteem for girls who are entering or already attending Junior High School. She also taught on AOL’s on-line campus from 1997 to 2001. Presently she teaches through a web site at www.writerscollege.com and is freelance writer for Straus Newpapers. The fee for the six hour workshop is $60 and includes lunch at Moondoze Coffee Shop nearby. Students who wish to bring lunch may register for $50. Art & Soul Studio owner and resident artist, Lori McBride, provides classes in drawing, clay play, watercolor painting and knitting for children, and classes in watercolor, mosaics, drawing, feng shui, knitting and crocheting for adults.
