Writing contest for teens

    Warwick — The Albert Wisner Public Library will sponsor a short story Teen Writing Contest for teens living in Warwick, grades six through 12. The stories must be between 500 and 2,000 words, and include the line, “I wish I never …” The first prize will be $25. The deadline to turn in a story is 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, at the library. The stories will be put together in a booklet collection. All the writers will be invited to a Teen Writers Coffeehouse with open mike at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, at the Baby Grand Café at 7 West St. in Warwick to read their stories aloud and listen.
