Workplace safety begins in cyberspace

    NEWBURGH-The Business Marketing Association of the Hudson Valley will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Diana’s Restaurant on Route 207 in Newburgh. The meeting will provide information for getting a lock on internet security. The guest speaker will be hi-tech innovator James Jeffreys, president and CEO of Northeast Computer Services Corporation, a consulting firm that has provided technology services to government and businesses since 1983. He will share tips and techniques for improving the performance of office networks. Registration is suggested before Friday, Oct. 21. The fee is $25 for members, $45 for nonmembers, $30 for members of participating chambers, and $15 for students with a school identification. For more information or to register, call 234-5163. The association will offer “Trade Show Marketing” in November, and a holiday celebration in December. Additionally, the group will sponsor “E-Marketing Seminar and Expo” on Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and Conference Center. The session will offer e-marketing and traditional marketing topics, feature workshops by marketing industry leaders, and include representatives from more than 500 local companies.
