Volunteer work: Applefest, Warwick Historical Society and Warwick Marathon. n Candidate statement: I am running for reelection for the position of Village Trustee because I want to continue the wonderful working relationship this board has had over the last few years and work to continue to make the Village of Warwick the most beautiful and viable village in Orange County. n Question: What do you think is the most important issue facing the village right now? Why? A: Besides keeping our tax increases to a minimum, our infrastructure needs to be upgraded in certain areas. Sidewalks need to be repaired and sewer lines need upgrading. Upgrades are also necessary in our water system. n Give three primary goals for your term of office on the Village Board. How do you intend to achieve them? A: Sidewalks: I sit on the Sidewalk Committee and we will be presenting a five-year plan in the near future to the board. Alternative Energy: I am in charge of Alternative Energy and am looking at ways the village can become more energy friendly. For example, solar power - if and where possible. I would also like to see the Village convert to LED lighting wherever possible (street lights, Village Hall, etc.). Parking: This is a major problem facing the downtown right now, not only for shoppers but for business owners and their employees as well. I am in charge of the Parking Committee and we working to put a plan together to present to the village.  n What will you bring to the office of trustee that will make the Village of Warwick a better place in which to live and to do business? A: The experience of having been on the board for the past eight years has been invaluable. I will continue to be honest and hard working to the best of my abilities. I am hoping that the various committees that I am currently on will help keep the village a vital and wonderful place to live, shop and raise your children.
