Where to buy Duck Derby tickets

    WARWICK — A host of community organizations and businesses are selling tickets for the sixteenth annual Duck Derby to benefit Winslow Therapeutic Center’s “Healing With Horses” program in Warwick. The Duck Derby will be held on Saturday, May 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Waywayanda Creek in Warwick. During the derby, thousands of bright yellow plastic ducks are released into Wawayanda Creek in Warwick, and swim towards the finish line. Ducks will be released into the creek at 1:30 p.m. There are 10 prizes for the first ten to cross the finish line, and first prize is $1,000. From 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Farmer’s Market will have its grand opening. A “Faux Duck Feast” will be held that night on Railroad Avenue in Warwick. Tickets, at $5, are available at Eclectic Eye, Edenville Country Store, Freddie’s Pub and Restaurant, Green Valley Tack, The Inkwell, Newhard’s, Peck’s Wine & Spirits, Pennings Farm Market, Shear Destiny Day Spa, Shop Rite of Warwick, The Bookstore, Theresa’s Toadstool, WVT Communications, Style Council, New Milford Deli, Vernon Inn, George Inn, Malonos Restaurant, and Catherine’s Restaurant. Winslow makes this a community event; by selling tickets, businesses and organizations keep half of the money raised from each ticket, and the other half goes to Winslow to help children and adults with special needs.
