Warwick voters approve library budget

    Warwick - The Albert Wisner Public Library’s 2007-08 tax levy was approved last week by a vote of 315 to 126, according to results furnished by library officials. Margaret Bogdanski also was reelected to the library Board of Trustees with 354 votes. The 2007-08 tax levy is 4.7 percent more than current figures. “This yes vote allows us to move forward with confidence as we continue to focus on quality library services in Warwick,” said Library Director Rosemary Cooper. The library is currently working to finalize plans for the new building. Ground breaking is anticipated to be in spring of 2008 with an opening day proposed for spring 2009.
