Warwick Valley School District hosts 'The Admission Game' on Oct. 18

    Warwick — “The Admission Game” is an interactive and provocative presentation on the selective college admissions process, featuring Peter Van Buskirk, author, lecturer and former Dean of Admissions at Franklin & Marshall College. This highly touted presentation will take place Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 6 p.m. in the Warwick Valley High School Auditorium. Eighth-, ninth-, tenth-, and eleventh-grade students and parents are encouraged to attend and learn such things as: What happens to the application you submit for admission to selective colleges? The right way to think about your course selections in high school? The deciding factors in applying and getting into the right college for you? What are admissions counselors looking for What types of colleges you should target, according to your strengths and weaknesses? After attending Van Buskirk’s presentation in Ann Arbor, MI, one parent remarked: “I never expect anything out of meetings like that, but this one was really good - I definitely learned some new things.” Come find out for yourself.
