Warwick Valley Middle School Mileage Club completes over 300 miles in more than 510,619 steps

Warwick - Using purple pedometers donated by Patty Brady and Kim Corkum, owner-brokers of Regal Homes and Properties, The Warwick Valley Middle School Mileage Club Together, the Mileage Club members took more than 510,619 steps and covered over 300 this spring in a commitment to improve their health. The Mileage Club, supervised by Ms. Villarosa, is comprised of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. These students had the opportunity to stay after school and walk, jog, or run with their friends. The Mileage Club members enjoyed the outdoor spring weather during the months of March, April, and May. Students covered the terrain of the Middle and High School campuses, including the nature trail and the Tim St. Lawrence Track. Mileage Club members participated in leisure running and walking, relays, games, and races. All students kept track of their steps and miles with the awesome purple pedometers that were donated by Regal Homes & Properties. The students set daily goals for themselves and worked hard at trying to achieve them.
