Warwick Valley High School hosts back-to-school night on Sept. 14

    Warwick — The Warwick Valley High School will host its annual Back-to-School Night at the high school on Wednesday, Sept. 14, beginning at 6 p.m. Parents will have the opportunity to follow an abbreviated version of their child’s daily schedule. In each of the classes parents will receive information on such things as curriculum, textbooks, grading policy, testing, and classroom expectations. During scheduled study hall and lunch periods parents are encouraged to visit the library and school counseling suite. Parents are asked to bring a copy of their child’s “A” day schedule. Parents should report directly to first period by 6 p.m., and the last class will end at 8:04 p.m. Parents are reminded to park only behind the high school building. There will be no parking in the front or along any of the driveways as these must be kept open for emergency vehicles. Cars parked in the fire zones will be ticketed by the Warwick Police. Driver Safety Seminar There also will be an encore presentation of the school’s Driver Safety Seminar beginning at 5:15 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Any student wishing to drive to school this school year who missed the first seminar must attend this program with a parent or guardian. This will be the last opportunity this year.
