Warwick Valley High School graduate promoted to captain

WARWICK - After recently returning from a one-year tour in Iraq, U.S. Army First Lieutenant Robert Barnett, the son of Robert and Margaret Barnett of Warwick and a graduate of Warwick Valley High School and Virginia Polytechnic Institute, has been promoted to the rank of captain. His cousin, Major Thomas Feltey, was present at the ceremony and presented Barnett with his new captain bars. While in Iraq, Barnett served as a fire direction officer in a combat zone north of Baghdad. He recently completed the Field Artillery Captain’s Career Course at Fort Sill.
