Continuing with its highly successful family theater series, the Drama Club will present a live production of “Aladdin” this November. This non-musical version of the classic tale from The Arabian Nights has all of the characters that families have come to know and love, including the mischievous Aladdin, the magical genies, the beautiful princess and the evil sorcerer who wants to steal Aladdin’s magical lamp. “Aladdin” will be performed on Friday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 18, at 1 and 7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Monday, Oct. 30, and can be reserved by calling the Drama Club’s ticket reservation line at 987-3050, voice mail box #4100. This March, the Drama Club will present, for the first time in nearly 25 years, the hit musical, “Annie Get Your Gun.” This classic Irving Berlin musical, being presented in its 1999 revival form, tells the true story of the romance between sharpshooters Annie Oakley and Frank Butler and their time with the “Buffalo Bill Wild West Show.” Annie Get Your Gun contains some of Broadway’s most memorable musical numbers, including “There’s No Business Like Show Business” and “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better.” Tickets for this show will go on sale in mid-February. Both productions will be directed by the club’s advisor, Nick DiLeo.
