Warwick valley Chamber of Commerce will host after-hours mixer next Wednesday at Renaissance Faire

Warwick Costumes are optional but guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring along their cameras as they travel back in time to sixteenth century England. On Wednesday evening, Aug. 17, the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold an after-hours business mixer from 6 to 8 p.m. at The New York Renaissance Faire just off Route 17A in Tuxedo. The Faire, which is open Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day and runs through Sept. 25, is a recreation of a Renaissance or medieval village. Costumed actors, crafts and games give patrons the illusion that they have stepped back in time. The New York Renaissance Faire features over 125 performance on 20 stages and more than 100 crafts people set on 65 acres of Sterling Forest. For the upcoming mixer New York Renaissance Faire Assistant GM/Promotions Manager Wanda Carr is planning an event exclusively for the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce and friends. “I am looking forward to everyone visiting us for a very special evening and a chance to experience this great escape, where fantasy rules,” said Carr. At Sterlingshire, a picturesque Medieval English village and home to the Faire, guests will not only have an opportunity to greet and socialize with business professionals but they can also mingle with storybook characters like Robin Hood. The lanes and byways of the Shire will be filled with live entertainment, music, madrigals and comedy featuring Arsene Dupin, Internationally renowned mime along with presentations of magic, juggling and comedy. And everyone is invited to enjoy a complimentary feast of savory sweets, delicious treats and a variety of thirst quenching beverages including beer, wine and mead. Cost for this unique social event is only $5 for members and $15 for non-members. For additional information or to make a reservation, call the Chamber at: 845-986-2720 or e-mail: info@warwickcc.org.
