Several scouts from Warwick Boy Scout Troop 38 took advantage of last Sunday’s good weather to participate in a fall cleanup project at 3 Pines Nature Place at the Warwick Valley Community Center.

The boys raked, hauled wood, dug holes, cleared debris, sanded and painted benches, and replaced railroad ties for the nature play area.

3 Pines enjoys regular use by Warwick’s Universal Pre-K program as well as other youth groups using the Community Center.

Troop 38 is the latest of a number of local organizations to provide community service to 3 Pines. Other troops throughout the year who have also made a difference include Boy Scout Troops 39 and 45 as well as Cub Scout Pack 177.

Girl Scout Troop 758 have also made their mark in keeping 3 Pines safe and well kept.

These Warwick children all range in age from 7 to 17. If you are interested in being on the volunteer list, please email Sharlene at dsharlynn3@aol.com or call the center at 986-6422.
