WARWICK-Seymour Gordon, chairman of the Town's Agriculture & Open Space Preservation Board, will be honored by the Town board in a ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at the beginning of the regular Town Board meeting. Warwick Town Supervisor Michael P. Sweeton described Gordon as "the heart and soul of PDR in Warwick." Gordon will be honored with the unveiling of a plaque enshrining his dedication to the purchase of development rights program as well as a listing of all the farms protected through his leadership. All are welcomed and refreshments will be served following the ceremony. With the election of Warwick Town Deputy Supervisor Annie Rabbitt to the 97th Assembly district, a vacancy will exist on the Town Board after Jan. 1. "As has been the policy of the Town Board to represent all areas of our Town, I am asking anyone residing in the area of the Greenwood Lake School District interested in being considered for the vacancy, to send a letter to my attention at the Town Hall, by Dec. 1," said Supervisor Sweeton. The Town of Warwick will be holding a work session on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m. in the Town Hall, 132 Kings Highway. A public hearing entitled Creation of a Backup Drainage District for Westview Estates will be held on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall.
