Warwick — A 17-year-old Warwick youth was airlifted to Westchester County Medical Center last Thursday after a two-car crash that totaled both vehicles involved. Warwick Police Lt. Thomas Maslanka said Matthew Hoffman of Warwick was traveling north on Sanfordville Road in a 1986 Ford when he collided with a 2004 Chevy Blazer driven by Spencer Cosgriff, 23, of Mahwah, N.J. Cosgriff was heading west on County Route 1A toward Pine Island. Witnesses told police that Hoffman stopped at the stop sign before continuing across Route 1A. Cosgriff, who was treated at St. Anthony Community Hospital after the accident, told police that Hoffman ran the stop sign. Hoffman’s condition was not known at press time. No summonses were issued.
