WARWICK-Plans for this year's Warwick Summer Arts Festival are flourishing. Festival 2004 will take place between July 9th and 18th, presenting performances, films, workshops and exhibits at Town Park, Stanley Deming Park, Scheuermann Farm and Greenhouses, Warwick Valley Community Center, Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center and the Gallery at Port of Call as well as artist's studios throughout the Town of Warwick. ShopRite of Warwick is again a major contributing sponsor for the Summer Festival giving a grant of $5,000 to support this summer's arts celebration showing their continued support of this community. In addition, The Festival received monies from Orange and Rockland Utilities, WVT Communications and Orange County Tourism. The Festival's primary supporter is the New York State Council on the Arts. The Council has given incentive grants for the past four years to help establish an arts festival in Orange County. Both the Village of Warwick and the Town of Warwick are co-presenters of the Festival and committed to the idea of making the arts an integral part of the community's vision and experience. Additions to this year's festival include the Mini Film Festival, three evenings of documentary films at the Warwick Valley Community Center; The Artist Studio Tour, a self-guided tour of 40 artist studios around the Town of Warwick; and a Healing Arts Walk in the Village of Warwick. The Children's Festival Choir will return for an evening performance and it's never too late to plan a fabulous float or costume for the annual Art Parade on the closing day of the Festival.
