Poughkeepsie — Judy Eurich of Warwick has joined Dutchess Community College as director of community relations and graphics, the office responsible for all of the college’s publications, Web content, print and broadcast media advertising and press relations, in addition to a variety of campus and community outreach activities. “I am so pleased to be working at Dutchess Community College,” said Eurich. “The mission of our community colleges is so important in that it affords everyone an opportunity to pursue her or his education. “I have witnessed firsthand the success of students of all ages, and it is gratifying to know that I can continue to promote these opportunities to the Dutchess County community.” Eurich also noted that the college will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. “I am looking forward to letting everyone know about the wonderful events we have planned,” she remarked. “The public can also look forward to a major redesign of the College’s Web site, one that will allow for easier navigation and ultimately provide a better source of information for students and parents alike.” Eurich comes to Dutchess Community College from Sullivan County Community College, where as director of public relations, she was responsible for enhancing the college’s image through media relations, advertising, publications and the Internet. She also marketed special events, assisted with fundraising efforts, co-chaired the annual Women’s Conference and coordinated activities for the SCCC Alumni Association. Eurich’s professional affiliations include the State University of New York Council on University Affairs and Development and the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations, which has recognized her with national and regional awards for her print and broadcast advertising campaigns and promotional brochures. Eurich was honored as one of the 2006 Women of Achievement in Orange County. She is a member of the board of directors of the Orange County United Way and Leadership Orange. As an adjunct professor, she teaches public relations at SUNY New Paltz.
