WARWICK - It’s been one year since the grand opening of the 56,000 square-foot Price Chopper supermarket just outside the Village of Warwick on the west side of State Highway 94S. Last June 8, Price Chopper Chairman and CEO Neil Golub, President Jerry Golub, Vice President Store Operations Mike Davidson, store manager Frank Davidson and other company officers joined local dignitaries for the official ribbon cutting ceremony. And this year, on Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12, the store celebrated its first anniversary with special sales, samples, donations, gifts and other events. The Warwick facility is the company’s third store in Orange County. Other locations are in Middletown and Newburgh. Since the first day it opened, Davidson, the store manager, said the store has enjoyed a success with approximately 45 per cent of its patrons traveling from New Jersey to Warwick. The company has also been a good neighbor by frequently supporting local projects and events as well as contributing goods and services to help non-profit organizations and worthy charities.
