Warwick political races take shape

    WARWICK - The Warwick Town Democratic Committee has unanimously endorsed Warwick business owner Penny Steyer for Warwick Town Supervisor, the town’s highest elected office, and Warwick Village Judge Richard Farina for Warwick Town justice. Steyer, the owner of Penra, a Warwick Main Street wine shop, is a former executive of a Fortune 500 company. She is the current chair of the Town of Warwick Architectural Review Board and has been active in numerous land preservation and community improvement organizations in Warwick for many years. Farina has been the Village Judge in Warwick for ten years. He has been assigned to sit as acting Judge in many city courts throughout Orange and Westchester Counties and has been an instructor to other judges in the mandatory judicial training classes. Warwick Town Republicans have endorsed incumbent Supervisor Michael P. Sweeton and Town Board members Leonard M. DeBuck and James E. Gerstner for reelection. The town GOP Committee also has backed Greenwood Lake Village Justice Nancy B. DeAngelo in her bid for Warwick Town justice.
