Warwick - The Warwick Masonic Lodge #544 has donated $1,000 to help fund the Backpack Snack Program, created in 2009 by the Warwick Reformed Church’s outreach program. The funds will purchase nutritious food for about 116 elementary students to eat on weekends when school lunches are unavailable. Through the program, food staples are loaded into backpacks by volunteers each week. Donations fund the program at the cost of $5 to $6 per child per week, said program Director Shirley Puett.
