Warwick man indicted

    Warwick — An Orange County grand jury has indicted Dwayne Brooks of Warwick on felony charges of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Brooks, 31, is accused of stabbing Michael D. Bristow, 30, of Middletown ,last Tuesday night after an argument in an apartment on the corner of Spring and McEwen streets. Brooks allegedly stabbed Bristow and then fled to Newburgh. Bristow was found in a snow bank across the street from a local restaurant. He had one stab wound to his chest and later died at St. Anthony Community Hospital. The two had been drinking together in the apartment, where Brooks lived with his pregnant girlfriend. The girlfriend had a previous relationship with Bristow, according to Warwick police.
