Warwick man charged with Jan. 8 armed robbery at Mountain Creek in Vernon, N.J.

    Vernon, N.J. — The Vernon Police have charged Eric Mannings, 22, of Warwick, with first-degree armed robbery and fourth-degree theft in connection with an incident early last month at Mountain Creek. In a press release, Vernon Police said at about 9:28 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8, Mountain Creek employees reported that someone entered the guest services in the Cobble Stone Village area, displayed a semi-automatic handgun and the demanded money. Police also said this suspect fled the area on foot, carrying a bag containing the cash. The Vernon Detective Bureau conducted the investigation with the assistance of the Warwick Town Police and the Sussex County, N.J., Prosecutor’s Office. Judge James Devine set bail at $100,000. Mannings was served with the criminal complaint at the Orange County jail where he is being held in connection with an unrelated armed robbery in Warwick that occurred Jan. 11. On Jan. 11, Manning and Kaitlyn Slicker, 22, also of Warwick, were charged with first-degree robbery with a deadly weapon. They were arraigned by Warwick Village Justice Jeanine Wadeson and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. Warwick Town Police also had charged Mannings on Oct. 3 with second-degree burglary and petit larceny. He was arraigned by Warwick Village Justice Jeanine Wadeson and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. The disposition of this case was unavailable at press time.
