Warwick Healthcare campus spring ball honorees announced

WARWICK Excitement continues to build for the Warwick Healthcare Campus 2008 Spring Ball with the announcement of those individuals and organizations who will be honored in a special presentation at the event. The annual Gala is slated for April 26 at the elegant Sheraton Crossroads in nearby Mahwah, New Jersey. “We are pleased to announce this year’s distinguished award winners of The Lifetime Achievement Award, the Caring for Life Award and our Dedicated Employee Award, all of whom are committed to helping fulfill our mission of offering good help to those in need,” stated Tom Brunelle, Executive Vice President/Administrator of the Warwick Healthcare Campus (St. Anthony Community Hospital, Schervier Pavilion and Mount Alverno Center). Dr. Dominic Cappelleri, a long-time Warwick internal medicine specialist, will receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes distinguished medical leaders who are held in high esteem by their peers for professional excellence and who demonstrate the highest standards of medical practice and ethics. WVT Communications will receive the Caring for Life Award in recognition of its outstanding contributions to the Warwick community as well as its continued support and commitment to the Warwick Healthcare Campus. Formerly known as the Warwick Valley Telephone Company, the firm has been serving this community since 1902. Receiving this year’s Dedicated Employee Award is Susan Emhout, Assistant Dietary Services Manager, who has been with St. Anthony Community Hospital since 1975 and has been instrumental in maintaining and improving both the dietary and social needs of the residents and staff of the Bon Secours Warwick Campus. The Spring Ball is the largest fund-raiser for the Warwick Healthcare Campus and has established a goal for 2008 of more than $200,000. Proceeds from next April’s event will go towards the renovation of St. Anthony Community Hospital’s front entrance as part of the overall modernization of the hospital to better serve the community’s healthcare needs. This event also will feature a special drawing for a $10,000 cash prize. Raffle tickets are now on sale and the holder of the winning ticket, whose name will be announced at the gala event, need not be present. Tickets are $100 each but with only 250 issued, the odds of winning are much more favorable than most raffles. The Annual Spring Ball also offers sponsorship and journal advertising opportunities for individuals and businesses wishing to demonstrate support for the Warwick Healthcare Campus and this year’s honorees. The Spring Ball has a seven-year history as a sell-out event. Tickets are $200 per person and should be purchased early. A variety of sponsorships and journal opportunities are also available. To make reservations or learn more about these sponsorship and other advertising opportunities call the Bon Secours Warwick Healthcare Foundation office at (845) 987-5677 or visit www.stanthonycommunityhosp.org/events.
