Warwick FFA continues community service to local farmer's markets

Warwick — Members of the Warwick Valley FFA braved the rain and planted flowers in the old Chevrolet pickup truck across the street from the Warwick Valley Farmer’s Market. Emmerich’s Greenhouses donated the annual flowers which were planted in the truck. Flowers included marigolds, salvia and petunias. FFA members have and will continue to serve the Warwick Valley Farmer’s Market by assisting vendors and the market manager with setting up and taking down tents and displays most Sundays. On Saturdays, FFA members can often be found assisting with various activities at the new Black Dirt Farmer’s Market at the Pine Island Park. FFA members engage in service learning activities to gain new skills and strengthen ties between the Warwick Valley FFA chapter and the Warwick Valley community.
