Warwick escapes major effects of record storm

Warwick - Although coastal areas including New York City were hammered by last week’s record breaking blizzard, it was just your normal everyday snowstorm for Warwick. After an almost balmy January, local residents awoke on Sunday to see that winter had returned. About a foot of fresh snow was reported in the highlands. Not bad when you consider the snow measured two feet at Central Park and all metropolitan airports shut down leaving passengers stranded until Monday.
