Warwick - Assemblywoman Aileen M. Gunther of the 98th District will be the guest speaker at the Warwick Democratic Committee’s 2006 brunch to be held Sunday, June 25, at the Hickory Hill Golf Club in Warwick. “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to hear from Assemblywoman Gunther and to recognize her efforts on behalf of all New Yorkers as well as the constituents in our neighboring District” said Warwick Committee Chair Steven Carras. “This annual brunch has a long tradition of hosting dynamic political leaders. In recent years State Comptroller H. Carl McCall and Rep. Nita Lowey, and have joined us. This year will be no exception. It should be an exciting afternoon.” The committee also will present the annual George Birnbaum Distinguished Service Award to longtime Warwick resident Seymour Gordon, for his work in leading the land preservation movement in the Warwick Valley. Candidates for the 19th Congressional seat and local races are expected to be on hand to talk informally with attendees. The brunch starts at noon. Donations are $50 and reservations can be made by contacting the event chair Jerry Sommer at 845-986-0974 or by sending an e-mail to the committee at www.warwickdems.org.
