Warwick - The Warwick Town Democratic Committee’s final meeting of 2006 combined charity with business and pleasure. Committee members, poll workers, campaign volunteers and friends were invited to the celebratory reception held at the Tuscan Café. The admission for the event was non-perishable food which was later donated to the Food Pantry here in Warwick. One hundred and twelve items were donated. The evening concluded with a short meeting where Committee chair Steven Carras thanked all who worked diligently to elect Democrats, including John Hall to the House of Representatives, and looked forward to the challenges ahead in the New Year. “We’re all excited about the new Congress and the prospect for progress through cooperation” Carras said, “and we are hopeful that the residents of Warwick and Orange County will recognize the importance of balance and bipartisanship closer to home.”
