Warwick — On Oct. 14, public and chamber of commerce officials joined Christine Horrace and Danielle Fowler for the grand opening of their new Warwick dance studio. The Warwick Dance Center, 87 Ronald Reagan Blvd., offers dance instruction for children, young adults and adults of all ages. The variety of classes includes creative movement for the very young, ballet, jazz, tap, Broadway, contemporary, ballroom, belly dance and hip-hop. The parent company of The Warwick Dance Center is Joanne’s Dance Studio in Washingtonville “I’m their dance parent,” said Joanne Ray, who explained that Horrace and Fowler have been dancing together under her supervision since they were six years old. “We take great pride in our unique style of dance, training techniques, and implementing each dancer with strong core values,” said Horrace. “We recognize each dancer as an individual and focus on improving his or her natural talents and abilities in a fun, encouraging and supportive atmosphere.” The Warwick Dance Center curriculum is intended to provide each student with a strong technical grounding and give everyone the best opportunity to achieve his or her goals. Classes are run to help build self-esteem and learn about the art of dance while having fun. “We are proud to produce a curriculum that enables our dancers to perform with confidence and poise,” said Fowler. “And all of our students will be given the opportunity to showcase their talents in a spring performance.” Classes are available both days and evenings.
