Warwick - The Historical Society of the Town of Warwick turned back the clock to 1782 last Saturday with its celebration of Gen. George Washington’s visit to Baird’s Tavern 224 years ago. The parade, with many marchers in colonial attire, was led by General Washington, who was played by Dean Malissa of the American Historical Theatre Workshop. Malissa is one of only two actors sanctioned by Mount Vernon to portray the first president. Photo by Mike Bousquet Additional images from the event can be found online at www.warwickadvertiser.com
