Walk for the cure

    WARWICK n Take a walk this Sunday for a worthwhile cause. Members of the Parish Nurse Program at Warwick's Church of St. Stephen, the First Martyr have organized a walking team, one of many in this area, for the annual Juvenile Diabetes Research 5K walk. The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. this Sunday, Sept. 18, at the Goshen Historic Race Track. There will be free tee shirts, food and a fun day for all. And by joining this team and "walking for the cure," you have an opportunity to do something to support research that may eventually help to eradicate Juvenile Diabetes. The 5K walk is a major fund-raising activity organized by the Hudson Valley Branch, Northeastern New York Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) St. Anthony Community Hospital and the St. Stephen Parish Nurse Program are sponsors of this event.
