Vincent Poloniak elected senior council's president

    WARWICK — Warwick resident Vincent Poloniak was recently elected president of the Orange County Senior Council. Poloniak succeeds the late Ruth Gardner, who had served as president for over a decade. Poloniak retired in 2005 as the director of Orange County Community Development and serves on the Board of Directors of Cornell Cooperative Extension. He is the Town of Warwick senior liaison, is active on the Orange County Senior Games committee, the Florida Fire Co., the Florida Lions Club, and several veterans’ organizations. In 2006 he was honored by Governor Spitzer for his outstanding volunteerism. Senior Council Vice President Ruth Newkirk of Washingtonville, Treasurer Letitia Reilly and Secretary Rose Helen Korn, both of Middletown, retain their offices.
