Village open brush pile for storm debris

| 29 Sep 2011 | 01:03

Warwick — Because of the storm that hit hard last week, bringing down many trees and branches throughout the village, the Village Board has reopened the brush pile in Veteran’s Memorial Park. For the next two weekends, Feb. 23-24 and March 1-2, the brush pile will be staffed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Residents also may bring their brush to the Department of Public Works garage in the park from Monday, Feb. 25, through Friday, Feb. 29, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. A permit is usually needed to access the brush pile. Those with permits that were issued in 2007 may continue to use those permits next week. Those without permits may either apply for one at the Village Clerk’s office or bring proof of village residency to the site — this includes a valid driver’s license or utility bill. For more information, call the Village Clerk’s office at 986-2031.
