Warwick - The Village of Warwick will be flushing fire hydrants starting Monday, May 21, from approximately 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. This will be done every evening until all the fire hydrants are completed. The water may be discolored but will clear up and is not harmful, according to Village Superintendent of Public Works Steve Sisco. Residents also may experience some pressure problems while the fire hydrants are being flushed. Meanwhile, the village’s brush disposal program continues on Saturdays and Sundays through June 3. The disposal area at the Village of Warwick Department of Public Works site in Memorial Park is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Brush cannot exceed six inches in diameter; bagged leaves will be accepted; no grass clippings will be allowed. Permits are available at Village Hall Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
