WARWICK-The Village of Warwick will be flushing fire hydrants starting on Oct. 11, from approximately 7 p.m. until midnight, according Department of Public Works Superintendent Steve Sisco. The work, which is being done at night to minimize the inconvenience, will continue every evening until flushing all 296 fire hydrants is completed. Art Wendel, the village’s water plant operator, said that could be eight nights. Residents may experience some pressure problems while the fire hydrants are being flushed. The water may be discolored but will clear up and is not harmful, Sisco said.
