Warwick — The Village of Warwick and the Albert Wisner Public Library are teaming up to build a paved walking path from the new library on McFarlane Road to the Veteran’s Memorial Park ball field area. The library is connecting to village water and sewer services through the park. The area to be dug up to accommodate the connection was going to be reseeded. However, the Village said it would rather have a paved walking path, making it more accessible for patrons to get to and from the library and the park. The Village Board agreed to provide the labor with its Department of Public Works Department while the library will provide the materials. During the connection process, the control wiring for the fields’ irrigation system was damaged. The library is paying to have that repaired as well. Some of the parking lot area by the concession stand was also disturbed. That, too, will be fixed.
