Village brush disposal starts Sept. 16

    Warwick - The Village of Warwick will again have the brush disposal program. Permits will be issued at the Village Hall between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Only Village of Warwick residents will be allowed to dispose brush at the disposal site, located at the Village of Warwick Department of Public Works site in Memorial Park. The site will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Sept. 16 and continuing through Oct. 29. It will, however, be closed on Sunday, Oct. 1, due to Applefest. •No commercial operators will be permitted. •Brush cannot exceed 6 inches in diameter. •No grass clippings will be allowed. Bagged leaves will be accepted. Residents are encouraged to use bio-degradable bags. The village has discontinue the distribution of leaf bags in a cost-saving measure.
