Vigil marks fifth anniversary of war in Iraq
| 29 Sep 2011 | 01:08

More than 20 people gathered on Main Street in Warwick for 45 minutes in the cold rain on the evening of March 19, the fifth anniversary of the war in Iraq. Many tried to keep candles alight in the damp breeze as they stood to mourn those killed, injured or displaced and to call for a swift end to the American occupation. The next vigil will take place Saturday, March 29, at 1 p.m. at the corner of Main and South Streets, in front of Lewis Park. All are welcome.
