U.S. Ag secretary visits Warwick

U.S. Rep. Sue Kelly, R-Katonah, brought U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns, pictured with Kelly, to Warwick Town Hall on Oct. 6 to talk with local growers about various challenges facing their farms this growing season. Kelly has been talking with Black Dirt farmers to find ways to bring additional federal assistance to local growers experiencing problems with this year’s crops. She arranged the town hall meeting with Johanns in response to requests by Hudson Valley farmers for Kelly’s assistance in bringing more federal attention to the problems they are facing locally.
