Tyler Zygmunt Murtie accepts funeral director position in Pine Bush

Pine Island - Tyler Zygmunt Murtie, the son of Marie Zygmunt Murtie and the late Robert Murtie of Pine Island, has received his New York State funeral director’s license and has accepted a position with the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. in Pine Bush, as a funeral director and embalmer. Zygmunt Murtie successfully completed his state-mandated one year residency on Nov. 30, 2009. He is a 2006 graduate of the Warwick Valley High School and received his A.A.S. in Mortuary Science from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy in May of 2008.
