Tuxedo Park mayor to run for Congress

    TUXEDO PARK — Tuxedo Park Mayor Tom Wilson has announced he is running for the congressional seat held by U.S. Rep. Nan Hayworth of the 19th Congressional District. Hayworth is serving her first term after being elected in 2010. Wilson is the first Orange County resident and the third Democrat to announce his candidacy. Wilson was elected Tuxedo Park mayor this past June and is the founder of a citizens group fighting against plans for the Tuxedo Reserve development. Other candidates are Wappingers Falls Mayor Matt Alexander and Dr. Rich Becker, who is a Town of Cortlandt councilman. — Nancy Kriz
