Members of the George F. Baker Tuxedo High School Interact Club and participants in the Santa Project sponsored by Safe Homes of Orange-Ulster Counties are surrounded by gifts of generosity for the four families who will receive their wish-list requests this holiday season. Safe Homes provides shelter for victims of domestic abuse and the Interact Club has chosen this organization as their charity this season as last. The Interact Club of Baker High School displayed wish-list items on The Giving Tree that was displayed in the front hall of the high school. Students, faculty, staff and community members could then choose their gift or other donation from an ornaments displayed on the tree. Bonnie Takeuchi is the coordinator of this effort and greatly assists the Interact Club in their efforts to bring the holiday spirit of giving into the lives of those who are in need. The project this year raised more than three hundred dollars and provided dozens of gifts to women and their children who are displaced by domestic violence. (Photo by High School Principal Denis M.
