Training

Last month members of the Warwick Fire Department, along with members of the Greenwood Lake Fire Department, took part in hands-on training class on their new “Res-Q-Jack” stabilization and lifting struts. These tools allow firefighters to stabilize vehicles that are involved in an accident and lift them to get a victim out or from under a car. The class further educated the firefighters to not only become more familiar with the new equipment but gain an understanding of its capabilities and limitations, thus enabling them to apply that knowledge in the field.
